Isaiah 53:1-3
1.Who would have believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the LORD been revealed? 2.For he shot up right forth as a sapling, and as a root out of a dry ground; he had no form nor comeliness, that we should look upon him, nor beauty that we should delight in him. 3.He was despised, and forsaken of men, a man of pains, and acquainted with disease, and as one from whom men hide their face: he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isaiah 8:14-15
14. And He shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 15. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.'
Psalms 118:22
The stone which the builders rejected is become the chief corner-stone
Genesis 22:8,13-14
8. And Abraham said: 'God will provide Himself the lamb for a burnt-offering, my son.' So they went both of them together. 13. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt-offering in the stead of his son. 14. And Abraham called the name of that place Adonai-jireh; as it is said to this day: 'In the mount where the LORD is seen.'
